freaky dream
So me and my mom and Meghan were all watching TV and I decided that I would look outside at this planet that was orbiting the world. The world I was in was obviously not Earth, it was a very large planet that had another planet orbiting it.
I was a little worried about the irregular orbit of this other planet but then someone said “You’ve been the protector of this planet for almost a century and nothing has happened yet, don’t worry.” so I agreed with them and didn’t do anything about it and went inside.
The next thing I knew there was a sandstorm outside. My family went to the basement that didn’t look like my basement and laid down on some blankets I brought there. We also brought the TV because the electricity still worked for some reason?? And we wanted to watch the news. I was really really calm like yea this is happening but we’re going to survive it. Like I knew what was going to happen and we would be okay. Meghan and I huddled together and began floating as if we were enlightened or it was magic of hope - either one.
I woke up shivering because it’s so cold in my room.
Now I’m just wondering - why would I take the advice of a stranger rather than follow my instincts and correct the orbit of that planet. I knew in the dream that I had the power to fix it but I didn’t because someone gave me the easy way out of doing nothing and that lead to terrible consequences.
The dream itself wasn’t scary, it was just irregular and it was like I was playing a character. (One that was over a 100 years old protecting a planet)
Tiger in my backyard
Okay, so I thought I might share this occasionally reoccurring dream I have.
I was living in my old apartment that has this pretty shallow woods behind the complex. I’d play ‘cops and robbers’ there all the time as a little kid. Running around among the trees, jumping into the bushes and avoiding being sighted at all cost.
So in this dream, I’m hiding by myself behind this tree, snickering at the boy a couple yards away whose just turned back, giving up the search to look for me. I hear a growl.
Whisking my head around, I scan the trees for a face, seeing nothing. I turn back to watch the “cop” go further off in the distance. Once again I hear something like a rumble coming from a wild animal. Slowly this time, I turn around and scan the landscape, seeing nothing out of the ordinary. I hear it again and finally I look up. There, lounging in the branch of a sturdy tree is a tiger. A full grown fricking Tiger!
I’m not too sure how I react immediately but then next thing I remember I’m sprinting as fast as I can back to the front of the complex. Everyone shouts “where were you!?!?! you win. Your a cop now with *insert name here* and *so and so*.”
I stand there panting all dramatically, trying to catch my breath because I’m acting as if I’ve been running for miles when the distance from the woods to the playground is about 1/8th of a mile.
Anyways, so I finally catch my breath and tell them there’s a tiger in the back woods. Of course, I’m called an idiot and completely ignored but after several minutes of persistent pleading, everyone agrees to around the corner and peer at the tree which I try to point out off in the distance.
No one sees anything at first but then a long, orange and black striped tail falls lazily from the branch and there are gasps all around me. One of the older girls shrieks and that’s when things turn bad.
The tail tenses, going back up and hidden from our view by the leaves on the tree. Then, the tiger leaps down, gracefully but at the same time I swear I can feel the ground shake.
It spots us and in seconds, begins it’s run toward us.
Shit. Shit. Shit…..Shit.
We run, all of us. Scattering in every which was direction and a whole bunch of us run onto the jungle gym. Out of reach on top of the monkey bars. Now for some reason, probably just because I am dreaming, this Tiger is unable to climb the steps of the jungle gym but is someone how still able to re-climb a tree later on.
Those of us on the jungle gym, including myself, are safe for the moment. Some have run into the nearby building’s unlocked trash rooms, still visible as they peer with their heads peeping up from the window. Others are still running. I see the tiger take down some unfamiliar kid with no face. He drags the body into a large hallow bush and we don’t see him for a while. We known whats happening there inside. It’s an unspoken feeling. This is our time to run but we don’t. No one moves. I don’t know if it’s out of fear of the tiger coming back out due to the sounds of our footsteps or if its from shock that we don’t move. Finally, and unfortunately it creeps back out for part two. I suddenly remember my sister is here somewhere. I’m looking or her, she trying to the climb the jungle gym but there’s no room. I scream for her name but she yells at me to stay put.
She notices the tiger is coming back for a second trip and gives up on the jungle gym. She’s running for the nearest building now but too late, she’s the creatures next target. She’s but 3 yards away from the door of the building when he pounces. And all this time I’m standing amongst the crowd of kids on the jungle gym, watching it happen. I don’t remember anything after that part when I see her fall. I don’t hear anything either and I think that’s the worst part.
That’s about the time where I wake up…sweating. I’ve dreamed this maybe eight times before, each time just a little different. Maybe he drags the first unknown kid into a tree instead of a bush. Either way, that’s how it basically happens.
so yeah—that’s my dream.
The other night I had this dream…
A few friends and I were headed out in canoes and we reached a hidden island covered with thick bush. We walked through the bush and we saw men in protective suits. They said it was because there were a lot of spiders and if they bit you then you would die instantly. We kept walking and eventually we reached a small, quite run down motel. An old lady showed us to our room which had two bunk beds and not much else. We spent the night there and during the night these two large rat type creatures (a mother & a baby) came into our room. The baby jumped onto the top bunk bed where we were all hiding and started to attack as the mother couldn’t jump that high. The old lady who owned the motel ran into the room with a gun and chased them away. She warned us to keep the door locked. The next day we were packing our bags to get out of there (the door was locked). Something started banging against the door and I could see the lock was giving way. I went over and tried to hold the door shut but the thing was too strong. We all ran over and jumped on the top bunk. The creature, the best way to describe it would be a zombie like old man, ran into the room. He ran over to the bunk bed and grabbed at the mattress THEN…I awoke.
A Dream of Mine
I was going over to America with my dad and some of my friends (the ones I can remember were Daniel, Harrison, Jordan, James and Harris.) We were staying in a nice hotel place and going to go to school somewhere nearby. I end up going to this REALLY big high school with LOTS (like, seriously, LOTS) of people of all ages. Either most of my friends go to different schools or this school is so big and I lose them because I don’t end up seeing anybody at my school except for Harris.
I get a bit lost during the school day and end up befriending these group of guys in particular this guy whose name keeps changing throughout the dream and the only name I can remember was ‘Kim’ (which sounds like a girls name, but he had a beard, a deep voice and a ‘fro, so I’m pretty sure he was a guy.) I wander around with Kim a bit and then we climb through the window of this classroom to what is apparently his Home Economics class with just him and I in it. He asks a bit about me and I tell him that I don’t really have a class timetable and am only going to school here temporarily, which he finds strange.
Later, a whole bunch of students and I are traveling across a golf course where I meet up with Veronica (who apparently goes to this school.) We decide to play golf, but have to wait for all the students to cross the golf course and so while we do that I try teaching Veronica how to play (she doesn’t seem to get it though and is for some reason left-handed.) In the end, I only hit one ball and Veronica doesn’t hit any because people keep going ahead of us and other golfers asking and going before us.
Back at school, I’m in a playground where I notice a group of about ten kids is spread across the playground beating up these small kids. I hurry across, looking for my friends whilst avoiding these bullies. For some reason the playground is littered with destroyed vehicles and other piles of mechanical junk. When I find my friends in a corner, they explain that those guys are really bad and will beat us up the next chance they get, which turns out to be soon.
All ten of them split up and start chasing us as we escape into a building with no lights on (so it’s really dark.) We decide to use the darkness to our advantage and hide, not run. We choose a room and my friends jam themselves into corners but I huddle up towards the end of an empty bookcase with my bag in front of me so that I can’t be seen. But then down the corridor to my left, a light comes on and I’m barely visible, allowing two of the guys to come along and tackle me. Something weird then happens and I pause reality or something then skip ahead to after they’ve bashed me ridiculously, as if my life was DVD or something.
So now I’m sitting on some structure in the middle of a playground with my friends around me. I’m bruised all over and my…well…they hurt…when the principle walks out with the ten boys who all start apologising to me. I recognise one of the boys as one who dropped out of my school in year ten (and have subsequently seen smoking near my bus stop in the morning and afternoons) and ask him how he his. He says he enjoys being free and actually isn’t attending school.
We then find Harris wandering the same dark building we were in before, but he is found by a security guard who thinks his actions are suspicious. Harris plays innocent and tries to walk away but the guard goes after him.
We’re then in a building doing some tests, which after completion are somehow immediately marked and they all allow us to graduate. We then go into some big room with boards stacked around with things on them, led by the principle.
After that it’s night time, I say goodbye to Kim and friends and return to the hotel room where James and Daniel are. We talk a bit and I wake up.
This was a loooonnnggg dream.
